Romans 4:23

Romans 4:23
Have you ever found a Scripture read aloud by someone else--perhaps in your church service for example--or one you've read in your personal study which seems to have been written specifically for you, in that moment? It doesn't seem possible, when the Bible was written so many thousands of years ago. It's amazing when it's a random verse but even more incredible when it's part of a scheduled reading, as when your church uses a lectionary.

God is outside of time. He knows today whether you will have a great-great-great-great grandchild and what his or her name will be. He knew last week what challenges you would face this week and He knew all about you when He made a covenant with Abraham. Only God could put things in the Bible thousands of years ago that we need to hear today. Only He could schedule them to be read when we need them and only He could call our attention to them in the secret places of our hearts (Heb 4:12).
