Wishes From a Genie

Pointing to a picture from Aladdin, my 4yr old started asking who that creature is (the genie) and why anyone would want to encounter it. I patiently answered all her questions, explaining that genies live in lamps and the person who owns the lamp gets to receive any three wishes they choose. "Oh." she said, thinking about my description.

[Pause.]

"Do we own a lamp??"
