Romans 3:9
As humans we like to compare ourselves to each other quite a lot. We think that if there is someone acting worse than ourselves, then we are justified in our own actions. But Paul is not making excuses for himself here. He is not making it easy for anyone. Even one little sin is too much. We are not sorted into categories of bad, really bad, and okay. EVERYONE is put together in the same category: we have failed. We have sinned. Whether it's a "small" lie or mass murder, it's all lumped together as sin. We have sinned; we have failed; we are no better than anyone else.
