Romans 1:16

Are you ever ashamed of the gospel? Are you intimidated by the prospect of sharing with others that you are a Christian and of what that means for your life? The speaker at a talk I attended recently pointed out that being a Christian should transform us so completely that the change is visible to everyone we come across. Maybe it's not quite so obvious to the gas station attendant that you are a Christian as a nun's habit would be, but it certainly shouldn't be a surprise to your family, friends, close co-workers, neighbors. If we are ashamed to let people know what we believe, then I wonder whether we truly believe it. Do you believe that eternity without God is worse than a building on fire? Do you love enough to help rescue others from that fate worse than a burning building? Do you believe in Christ as our hope of rescue? If you do, then don't be ashamed of that. Make it obvious to everyone you encounter.
