Romans 4:21
Are you convinced that God can do all that He has promised you? I had an insightful conversation with a friend when I mentioned that sometimes I wonder why God feels that delaying the fulfillment of His promises is necessary: why for instance Zacharias and Elizabeth had to wait so long for a child. Could He not have given them other sons and daughters beforehand? Was it absolutely necessary to wait until they were so old or would it really have messed things up to have given them other children when they were younger? My friend pointed out that Elizabeth's miracle in having a child so late in life surely bolstered Mary's faith in God's ability to give her a child without her "knowing" a man. Even when we don't doubt God's ability to perform miracles, seeing Him actually do so increases our faith. We need to recognize God's miracles and remember that He can do ALL that He has promised. He is the Creator; nothing is impossible to God. (Luke 1:37)
