Stop looking for a moment at what you get out of your prayer time and Bible study. Take a day to focus entirely upon who God is. How many adjectives can you come up with? Spend some time praising God, using each and every adjective. As humans, we do gain a lot by setting aside some time each day to pray and read the Bible. But it's really not about us and what we receive, it's about the fact that God is righteous and worthy of all our praise.
