Romans 3:2

Romans 3:2
Remember the pearl in the field (Mat 13:45-46)? What an honor to be the first entrusted with the God's words! This is not costume jewelry that no one cares if it's lost; this is a treasure worth selling all other possessions in order to protect and keep. Esau truly missed out by selling his birthright (Gen 25:23). Sometimes those who inherit a valuable family heirloom don't recognize its true worth; but that doesn't diminish the value of the treasure itself nor the gift of being the receiver of the heirloom. Whether or not individual Jews valued their inheritance, they were greatly honored by God to be entrusted with such a treasure.
